Don’t Let Termites Destroy Your Home
Termites cause billions of dollars in damage across the US every year — and most homeowner’s insurance doesn’t cover it. In Southern Utah, both subterranean and drywood termites are present, silently eating away at your home’s structure 24 hours a day.
Termite Species in Southern Utah
Eastern Subterranean Termite
The primary termite species in Utah. Colonies live in the soil and build mud tubes to reach wood in your home. Workers are pale, soft-bodied insects about 1/4 inch long. Swarm season is mid-April through June.
Western Drywood Termite
Present in Southern Utah. Unlike subterranean termites, drywood termites live entirely within the wood they’re eating — no soil contact needed. Look for small piles of hexagonal fecal pellets below infested wood.
Signs of Termite Activity
- Mud tubes on foundation walls, pipes, or in crawl spaces
- Winged swarmers near windows or lights (especially in spring)
- Hollow-sounding wood when tapped
- Discarded wings near windowsills or doors
- Frass (small wood-colored pellets) below wood surfaces
- Bubbling or peeling paint that looks like water damage
Our Termite Control Process
1. Thorough Inspection
We inspect your entire property — foundation, crawl spaces, attic, wood structures, and surrounding soil. We identify the termite species, extent of activity, and all entry points.
2. Targeted Treatment
Based on the species and severity, we apply the most effective treatment — soil treatments for subterranean termites, direct wood treatments for drywood termites, or a combination approach.
3. Ongoing Monitoring
After treatment, we monitor for re-infestation and recommend annual inspections to catch any new activity early — before damage occurs.
